About Me

Laurence Trainor has over 31 years’ experience in the Kingston commercial real estate market and co-founded Rogers & Trainor Commercial Realty in 1997 which is now the dominate commercial real estate company in this part of eastern Ontario.

Prior to coming to Canada Laurence ran a successful business in Ireland in the hospitality industry and for several years before that he served as an Officer in the Merchant Navy.

Laurence has served on the Board of Directors for both the Kingston Area Real Estate Board and Cantabile Choirs. Laurence is particularly proud to have been elected to serve for the last 10 years on the Committee of Adjustment for the City of Kingston.

Laurence was awarded in 2022 by the local Real Estate Board Realtor to be placed on the Wall of Honour (2022) in Recognition and Appreciation of his Commitment to an Ethical , Professional, Enthusiastic and Caring approach to the Real Estate Industry.

Corporate Real Estate -
Acted for and advised clients on the rental, lease renewals, acquisition and disposal for real estate assets for a large number clients that include: Limestone School Board, Algonquin & Lakeshore and District Catholic School Board, Hotel Dieu Hospital, Queens University, Exxon Mobile, Suncor Energy, Imperial Oil, CIBC, Royal Bank of Canada, Business Development Bank of Canada, TD Canada Trust, Scotiabank, Abbott Industries, Shoppers Drug Mart, Loblaws, Bell, Bombardier, Black & Decker etc.
Transaction and Consultancy -
Advised and consulted on real estate strategy and valuations for numerous private and public institutions: Laurence has also been called as an expert witness for two cases before the Superior Court of Canada.
Development and Investment Consultancy -
Consulted on and provided brokerage services for a large number of real estate projects which involved coordinating with the Seller, Buyer Municipal Government, Environmental companies, various technical reports and financial agencies, all aspects of making for a successful sale.
